The Office of Budget and Management is responsible for the preparation and oversight of the operating and capital budgets, grant management, administration of performance management initiatives, and financial analysis of the Chicago Park District for long-term fiscal planning. The Office of Budget and Management analyzes Regional and Departmental budget requests, identifies issues and provides information to help Departmental officials make resource decisions which are incorporated into the Annual Appropriations Ordinance.

For the fifth year, the Park District has adopted a budget with NO PROPERTY TAX INCREASE. Property Taxes make up 64% of the 2010 Operating Revenue. Below is the District's share of the Cook County Property tax and an example of how it is used.
