Current Swim Status Text Message
As summer is now officially here and many of us are enjoying the beaches, we thought we would let you know about a new way to find out the swim status at each beach. You can now text the name of your favorite beach to:
312-715-SWIM (7946)
Text the name of the beach to 312.715.SWIM (7946) to find out the swim status at that location. For the entire list, leave the body of the text blank.
Text the word "beaches" and get a list of all the beaches with swim bans or swim advisories. The system is updated every morning by 10:00 AM, and once sampling results are received from the lab.
Please help spread the word about our new text messaging service. The service is particularly useful for day camps or other groups visiting our beaches - text before you go!
