Fall Program Registration
Back-to-school time also means fall program registration time. The Chicago Park District offers a number of programs to keep kids active in the after-school hours.  From our main ParkKids after-school program to cultural and sports programs, there are numerous offerings to keep your child active this fall.  Go here to view program offerings.  Registration begins Monday, August 16 at 9 a.m. online, and Saturday, August 21 in-person at the parks.

Day Camp Survey
Did your child attend a Chicago Park District camp this summer?  If so, we want your feedback!  Please take a few minutes to fill out our day camp survey.  If you complete the survey by September 1, you are eligible to win a 2011 day camp slot at your park. Need to find something for your kids to do in August?  Many parks offer camps that run for a week or more during August.  Go here to see a list of parks offering these camps. To confirm if spots still remain, please call the park directly.

Jens Jensen Birthday Celebration
Celebrate the life of Jens Jensen, a man who helped shape the west side Chicago park landscape, during this August and September with events to commemorate his 150^th birthday.  From a historical tour lead by Park District historian to a documentary movie screening about his life to the official 150^th birthday party, discover the fascinating insights into the life of this historical figure.  Go here for a list of upcoming events.
